Randy Carter's friend, Chuck Ward escapes from a Psychiatric hospital, after going mad investigating his family's ancestry. Chuck had received a ancient, powerful tome, called The Necronomicon, which outlines how to resurrect dead tissue. Randy assembles his friends in search of Chuck. What they find challenges their sanity. The Unearthly is a Web Series based upon the Cosmic Horror mythos originated by Howard Philips Lovecraft, a pulp science-fiction writer of the 1920's and 30's.
I wanted to approach a psychological horror story in a serial fashion, so we could follow our group of young people. We could explore their experiences in encountering ancient cults dedicated to powerful aliens, such as Yog-Sothoth. How would they deal with these experiences? Would they manage? Or would they go mad? Posted by Jesse Gray on January 13, 2013 at 7:31pm in CASTING CALLS & JOBS
2 Actors + Webcam = Not what you think! (No nudity, no sex, no implied nudity, etc..,) I'm look'in for a college-age actor and a college age actress for a Valentines-themed short that I'd like to get out before February 14th. Yes, I'll be using a webcam, but that's by design, not because I have no budget (although that part is true as well). You'll get it if you read the script. It's not technically complicated or flashy, but it'll require some solid acting chops to pull it off. I need actors who are college-age or can pass for college-age, and who can convey subtext and switch emotional gears pretty quick. Not going to storm any festivals with this; it's an incredibly simple shoot, not much time needed. I am looking for a dorm-esq location to serve as background for the girl's location, but aside from that, we're ready to go! If you're interested, give me an email address and I'll send you the script; the audition will simply be a reading from a part of the script into a webcam and sending the clip my way. Gotta have the right actors, since they'll be responsible for 93.7% of this project's success. Thanks for your interest! ▶ Reply to This |
